After getting the updates from my supervisor, I started to write the report. Following the guidance from some examples which Neil gave me and the templates from Lars, it gave a certain flow to the report.
So far I have reached through introduction until placement plan. It took quite a while to write this as I would want to specify the work in detail and some reasoning behind different changes which are happening in my work placement. Stating the problem was an important part for my report so that the readers would understand what are the tasks which I am assigned to and how the status of them now.
Placement plan was quite complicated to build up. If I were to follow the plan which was originally given to me by my supervisor in NPIL, I would have only done the work on PRTG which includes devices uptime dashboard and traffic throughput dashboard. Thus, with some upgrades on it, I made a new placement plan which includes the new tasks of emergency switch recovery procedure and research. The placement plan is counted in hours to give it a good illustration on how much time I have or will spend on that particular task.
For the placement report itself, I managed to create some categorization on the tasks. It was separated between a group of task which are device uptime visualization, traffic throughput visualization and emergency switch recovery. In every chapter there will be report on what I have done, the apporaches I have made and some additional research on other probable approaches.
